The West Coast can be enjoyed in countless ways. But, one of the most fun (and a little wacky) ways to get the heart racing along the coast is on the go-karts and quad-bikes of Wacky Adventures. This family-run farm is in the gorgeous setting of Hopefield, just 30 minutes from Langebaan and its picturesque lagoon.

Wacky Adventures is a great day out for the whole family and is a favourite for kids. Some of the highlights here are the:

Go-karting track: This oval-shaped outdoor track is 230 metres long and each ride is five laps long, which is a total of 1.15 kilometres. The 200 cc go-karts offer the right combination of an adrenalin rush and plenty of easy-driving fun.

Quad-biking track: The 120 cc and 150 cc quad-bikes are exciting and easy to drive – even for pre-teens. The quad track is 220 metres long. A ride is five laps long and includes 10 corners, with a total length of 1.1 kilometres. This remains the most popular adventure here and is a must for families that want to spend a day together in the sunshine.

Kiddies’ go-karting track: Little ones love careening around the 500 metre track on these 50 cc karts, which are easy to handle and offer hours of fun. The track is 100 metres long and each ride is five laps long with four corners.

Swimming pool: After a summer’s day on the tracks, jump in the cool swimming pool or laze around the pool and soak up the rays.
