A beautifully compiled ad is all it takes to attract tourists to our shores & Cape Town tourism knows just what to show when creating visual material.
The tourism sector has been hit very badly due to the national lock down & business are coming up with innovative ideas to keep their doors open. Restaurants will be delivering meals to customers and long term hotel apartment rentals are being offered. I mean who wouldn't want to spend a nation wide lock down with views of the African bush?
The City of Cape Town is also struggling to keep business open especially ones which involve mass public occupancy.
LOVE CAPE TOWN SEND A HEART FELT MESSAGE TO THE PUBLIC
The tourism company launched a heart warming ad campaign to ensure tourism is not left in the deep end and when allowed, travel to the mother city to resume.
REMINDING THE WORLD WHAT THE CITY HAS TO OFFER
According to Vos the main aim of the campaign is to get visitors excited about the prospect of travelling to Cape Town in the near future.
“You know those feelings of anticipation that come with waiting for something big, something important? Or that excitement you feel when you’re planning to see a loved one after a long time of not having been together? That’s the feeling that we are aiming to build here because, let’s be honest, all the beauty of our city, from our people to our sites and even our authentic experiences, are worth waiting for.” Alderman James Vos
Cape Town Tourism chief executive Enver Duminy added that they are reminding the world what Cape Town has to offer amid these uncertain times.
“You may not be able to dive into our oceans right now or laze on our shores,” he said. You can’t explore our wine farms or eat at our award-winning restaurants or be face-to-face with our locals, but we want you to know that we are still thinking about you and when the time is right, we’ll be here ready to welcome you in true Cape Town style.” Enver Duminy
