Table Mountain Scootours

209 Tafelberg Rd, Table Mountain (Nature Reserve), Cape Town

About Table Mountain Scootours

Feel the exhilaration of Table Mountain as never before! This flat-topped mountain has served as the natural icon for Cape Town ever since its discovery. Today, it stands proudly over the bustling urban city, and recently became a New 7 Wonders of Nature. Hiking it or reaching the top via the modern cable car are both options, but exploring its terrain on a non-motorised scooter is irresistible to those with a sense of adventure.

Scootours are eco-friendly, as they require no fuel. They are robust, giving adults and children the opportunity to explore a world of fun. Little ones (between four and nine years old) are able to ride with an adult as a passenger.

The track is five kilometres long. It starts in Kloof Nek Road, at the Table Mountain Lower Information Centre, and takes visitors down the side of the beautiful Signal Hill into the colourful, historical suburb of the Bo-Kaap. The experience finishes off on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. This is all set against breath-taking backdrops of mountains, forests and all of the buzz of the Mother City.

The Scootour is around two hours long, and can accommodate eight adults and eight children. Each trip is led by an experienced, responsible guide that can assist and teach, while pointing out interesting and beautiful sights. The route includes Jeep tracks, tar road and single tracks, as well as some bridge crossings. Smell the fresh scent of the pine forests and grassy plains, as you feel the warm sunshine on your back. Safety equipment (such as a helmet) is included in the package, as is the drive to the top of the hill. Closed shoes are required.

Scootours is the first of its kind in South Africa and has swiftly become a firm favourite amongst locals and visitors that want to see, feel and taste Africa in a very personal, memorable way.

We also offer team building packages.
