Rhino Ridge is built on land belonging to the local Mpembeni Community which has been incorporated into the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park. This is a unique joint venture between the community, the park and a private company creating much needed employment and generating revenue for conservation via park fees and levies.
The lodge features slick, contemporary design with natural finishes and boasts a deck that extends the entire length of the main lodge building, taking full advantage of the spectacular views.

Accommodation
Rhino Ridge Safari Lodge offers luxury safari accommodation with a choice of four room types: two Honeymoon Villas nestled in the indigenous bush with private plunge pools overlooking the reserve; eight glamorous Luxury Bush Villas with deep baths separated from the bedrooms by open fireplaces; four Safari Rooms with showers opening out onto the bushveld; and two Safari Family Suites ideal for families travelling with children. All rooms are positioned to take advantage of the spectacular views and offer guests the utmost privacy and comfort. The stylish decor is softened by four-poster beds dressed in crisp white linen.
Safari Room & Safari Family Room
Four Safari Rooms are configured in pairs comprising a common entrance lobby leading off to two separate bedrooms. Each bedroom has a private shower room that opens out onto a small viewing deck. The bedroom has a glass sliding door that opens onto a screened deck, ensuring your complete privacy.
The Safari Rooms have a private deck, double vanity, separate toilet, air conditioning, overhead fans, mini bar, safe, hairdryer, and tea and coffee making facilities.
Luxury Bush Villa
Eight Luxury Bush Villas feature a spacious, open plan design with a lounge area, open fireplace and a large viewing deck. The spacious bathrooms, with rain showers that open onto the outdoors are a guest favourite, along with luxurious bathtubs with wide windows that look directly onto the wild African bush.

Honeymoon Bush Villa
There are two Honeymoon Villas, comprising a spacious, open plan bedroom and bathroom with bath, double vanity, separate shower and toilet. The open fireplace is perfect for cosying up on cool winter nights.
These dreamy villas have private plunge pools set on an elevated deck, with spectacular views of the bush below. The Honeymoon Villas offer total seclusion and privacy, and the king-size four-poster bed is romantically draped with dreamy white mosquito nets.

Bush Trails
Nothing can quite prepare you for the experience of walking in the wild of a game reserve in Africa. And Hluhluwe iMfolozi is the real thing - a vast protected area teeming with lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and one of the highest concentrations of White Rhino in the world.
Bird Watching
The Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park is a prime birding destination and home to over 400 bird species, representing close to half of the species found in the southern African sub-region! This number also includes some important populations and species of birds that have suffered outside of extensive protected areas like the park. The bird diversity within the park can be attributed to the variety of habitats in this area, from riverine thickets to open savannah.
Gorge Walks
The gorge walk allows you to explore the magnificent riverine area below the camp with its exquisite birdlife and flora. Your knowledgeable guide is well-attuned will help you engage your own senses to better understand your surroundings.
Gorge walks take place outside the park (where there is no risk of dangerous animals) and are a great family safari activity suitable for children aged ten years and older.
Safari Drives
There is nothing quite like setting out on the back of an open game viewing vehicle, watching the red sun rising as a herd of elephant crosses the road in front of you – this is Africa at its finest.
