About KCC - La Vie en Rose

Tucked away in the lush gardens of the picturesque Killarney Country Club, KCC La Vie en Rose is reminiscent of old Houghton charm, complemented by 21st-century nuances. Each dish has a touch of East meets West, underpinned by head chef Rony’s Moroccan heritage.

For breakfast, choose from the scrumptious à la carte menu, which includes Mexican-inspired guacamole served on rye or seeded bread, topped off with creamy cottage cheese, fresh tomato and crunchy gherkins, as well as fluffy vegetarian or meat omelettes.

If you prefer to start your morning with a splash of sweetness, dive into the impressive range of waffles – from the Marley Dee with its crispy maple-coated bacon, peanut butter and banana to the Emily, covered in nutty goodness with hints of almond nut butter, green apples and honey.

The à la carte menu extends to a selection of lunch and dinner dishes – from tasty burgers, including a vegetarian grilled feta delight, to juicy rump steaks and grilled olive oil-infused chicken breasts, accompanied by a bed of wild rice, wilted spinach and rosa tomatoes.

For mains, try the Moroccan-inspired spiced fillet accompanied by Moroccan date, a baby spinach salad and home-made sweet-potato fritters. If you’re in the mood for seafood, try the Flamingo, a fresh, delicate piece of pink Norwegian salmon paired with baby potatoes, cumin yoghurt, and a wild rocket and ricotta salad. The menu also includes delicious sandwiches, wraps, salads and pastas.

La Vie en Rose is serious about dessert, especially when it comes to the deep-fried favourites, with choices including deep-fried Oreos, churros, or phyllo pastry-filled Toblerone goodness, served on berry mint coulis and fresh cream. If you prefer a home-made touch, the pecan nut squares served with vanilla pod ice cream are a must. The waffles are also worth travelling for – opt for the peanut butter, sliced banana and maple syrup waffle topped with a scoop of Noogie peanut butter cookie-dough ice cream.

La Vie en Rose’s intimate atmosphere also makes it an ideal venue for occasions such as high tea – for which it has a separate menu – as well as birthdays and corporate events, with buffet-style options for 15 or more guests.
