We’re perfectly located on Strand promenade. With a large terrace, it’s the ideal place to people watch, enjoy the sea view and watch the sunset with a glass of wine or cocktail.

De Brasserie restaurant is truly a family affair. Established by Joep van Almenkerk in 2012, the restaurant is currently run by youngest daughter, Annelies, ably assisted by her partner, Matt, and fantastic team of kitchen and waiting staff.
The restaurant’s wine menu features a carefully curated list of local wines including award-winning wine from the family’s wine estate just over Sir Lowry’s Pass in cool-climate Elgin.
Almenkerk Wine Estate wines are available at cellar door prices from De Brasserie when purchased in a case of six. Alternatively, we recommend taking a trip out to the Elgin Valley to visit the estate for yourselves and taste the wine overlooking vineyards and panoramic mountain vistas.
