About Camp Figtree
Camp Figtree, based in the malaria-free Eastern Cape of South Africa, is located approximately an hour’s drive from Port Elizabeth and only 15kms from the main gate of the famous Addo Elephant National Park. The exclusive mountain safari lodge prides itself on an excellent reputation for cuisine, hospitality and luxurious accommodation. Accommodation ranges from the Family Suite to Superior Suites and then onto the more exclusive and private Luxury Suites and Luxury Tents. Guests enjoy a truly authentic South African experience when staying here. This sanctuary is set up in the heart of nature, providing peace, tranquillity, comfort and, most of all, luxury. We are an eco-friendly establishment and our entire site is 100% powered by solar energy.

Stay in understated colonial style luxury at our Addo Lodge with vistas of endless rolling hills at your feet.
All our suites and accommodation are well appointed for optimal guest comfort. Beds are King size or 2 singles depending on guest requirement.
The OutPost
For the ultimate African bush experience, the Outpost provides luxury for the wild at heart. The Outpost is half-suite, half-tent, within walking distance from the main lodge. The flanks roll up to unveil the unspoilt vistas over the Sundays River Valley and the Addo Elephant National Park. Drink in the sunset on the main deck or revel in the Bosloerie’s melody from your private outdoor bath.
Feel part of the environment as water rains down over you in an open-air shower or head for the shower indoors, should weather be less favourable.
Superior Suites
Each of these suites is uniquely decorated, featuring earthy colours and natural textures accented by richly-hued antiques, Persian carpets, polished wooden furnishings and objects d’art.
Both our Superior Suites have plush four-poster or twin beds and en-suite bathrooms. Private verandahs adorn the suites and have beautiful views onto the lodge gardens, the Addo Elephant National Park in the distance and the expansive mountains beyond.
All our accommodation boast sumptuous furnishings, mosquito nets and crisp percale linen. The private bathroom includes a bathrobe, slippers and hairdryer.
Superior Boardwalk
Our Superior Boardwalks Suites are built 4 meters above the mountain cliff.
Each suite has its own private balcony which offers unsurpassed views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range. These Suites are decorated with a turn of the Century Colonial feel and each suite has a plush four-poster or twin beds.
All our accommodation boast sumptuous furnishings, mosquito nets and crisp percale linen. The private bathroom includes a bathrobe, slippers and hairdryer.
Luxury Suites
Our opulent Luxury Suites are built 4 meters above the mountain cliff.
Each of these large suites host a main bedroom, large private lounge and luxurious bathroom – each with fold back doors that open onto the wrap around balcony and provide the guest with the breath taking views of the vistas beyond.

Dining at Camp Figtree
At Camp Figtree we pride ourselves on producing African Country Style Karoo food with a modern twist.
Our Head Chef Marshall Petla and his team conjure creative mouthwatering dishes, drawing inspiration from the unique flavours of our local ingredients. The Menu changes daily to keep food fresh and in season.
To accompany your meal our exclusive cellar is host to some of the best wines in South Africa.
Gourmet breakfasts are served in our restaurant or on the verandah (weather permitting), scrumptious muffins, homemade breads, fresh seasonal fruit salads and cooked breakfasts are all on offer.
Lunches can be enjoyed around the pool or on the veranda.
