Accommodation
Step back in time at African Hills Safari Lodge & Spa while enjoying modern comforts. We have a range of accommodation options including executive, standard and deluxe rooms which can accommodate 48 singles or 96 guests sharing. Further accommodation options include two garden cottages and twelve garden suites.
The interior of African Hills Safari Lodge & Spa captures the romance and essence of ‘Africa meets Antique Dutch’ with décor pieces dating back to the 1800s. Slipper baths, wash stands, luggage chests, antique oregon cupboards and tables are subtly placed within the luxury four-star surrounding, to emphasise the captivating history of the Magaliesberg area. The dark grey exteriors blend effortlessly with the natural surrounds while spacious patios (stoeps) provide a respite from the warm day after a game drive.
Warthogs Bush Lodge
Sheltered beneath a canopy of trees in the African bushveld just two kilometres from African Hills, on the Plumari Private Reserve, Warthogs Bush Lodge is an intimate, rustic lodge that is superb for a relaxing getaway from city life. It is also ideal for exclusive bookings, family gatherings, small conferences and weddings. With warthog, kudu, blesbok and rooihartebees strolling by, you’ll find it hard to believe that you’re so close to the city.
The bush lodge can accommodate up to 20 guests in 10 thatched chalets that are comfortably furnished, have private wooden decks, and luxury en-suite bathrooms with semi-outdoor showers. There is also a tented camp with six tents, and two tented stands, each with four tents. These have kitchenettes, braai areas and ablution facilities. Two caravan sites with ablution facilities complete the accommodation options. The camp facilities include two pools for cooling off on hot days, a traditional hut-shaped dining area, and a convivial boma for enjoying a good bottle of wine around a roaring fire with friends and family.
There are plenty of outdoor activities to choose from such as trail walks and runs, and mountain biking.
Warthogs Bush Lodge is excellent for small conference groups and the camp has a conference room that can seat up to 20 delegates. Its close proximity to Johannesburg and Pretoria also makes the lodge ideal for day conferences and there is a thatched lapa with canvas sides that can be set up in theatre style for up to 180 delegates.
