Treat your family to a Seafood Extravaganza at Boardwalk, the Bay’s Playground, this Easter weekend.


“Easter is a time for family, and we’d like to make your time together more memorable with a delicious spoil consisting of the freshest delights from the ocean,” said Tati Tsunke, Boardwalk General Manager.


Start your meal with a seafood chowder topped with garlic croutons and freshly shucked oysters before moving onto the seafood station offering traditional pickled fish, steamed whole prawns, mussels and calamari served with condiments. The hot pots offer mussel broth, fish casserole, chicken curry, seafood paella, lamb and chicken curry, seafood lasagne and baked vegetable moussaka.


The dessert table will offer eclairs, baked cheesecake, tiramisu, berry panacotta and milk tarts.

New Executive Chef at the helm of The Palace kitchens



Dedication and passion for the hospitality industry have seen Wesli Jacobs climbing the cheffing ladder, and the 33-year-old can now proudly claim the position of Executive Chef at Sun International’s flagship property, The Palace at the Lost City.


Durban-born Jacobs cooked alongside his mother and grandmother from the age of seven, and holds a three-year diploma in cookery and kitchen management from the International Hotel School in Durban and is studying a bachelor’s degree in business administration in hospitality management. He was previously Executive Chef at Sun International’s The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town, and moved to Sun City with his wife and two children in November 2023.
