Hunta Live is proudly bringing back the biggest laughs at this years’ annual trio Nando’s Comedy Festivals to be held at the ICC in Durban, the Teatro at Montecasino and the Baxter in Cape Town.
First up is the Nando’s Durbs Comedy Festival that will run from 23rd July – 25th July 2010 at the ICC.
See comedians from all over the world on one stage in the finest straight-up, stand up comedy show Durban has ever seen. International comedy heavyweights, such as Pablo Francisco (Chile), Al Madigral (Mexico), Bobby Lee (Korea) and Dean Edwards (USA) will perform live together with SA funny man Loyiso Gola at 3rd Annual Nando’s Durbs Comedy Festival.
Durban is followed by the Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival from the 26th of July to the 1st of August at Montecasino. Some of the Shows you can see at the Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival:
UN Comedy Show Description:
Seven Comedians. Seven days. One Stage. Unlimited laughter.
As the “United Nations of Comedy” the “UN Comedy Show” brings comedians from all over the world on to one stage in the finest straight-up stand up comedy show at the Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival. 94.7 Highveld Stereo and M-Net are proudly bringing back the biggest laughs with the likes of international comedians such as Pablo Francisco, Al Madigral and Bobby Lee.
Age restriction 16.
Unhinged Show Description:
For Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival goers who prefer their nachos a little more spicy, the late-night, uncensored comedy of the “UNhinged” Shows will feature 7 comedians from all over the globe “unhinged” in a comedy gig that is not for the fainthearted or those under 18 years. Featuring international heavy weights such as Jason Rouse the comedians will unleash their killer routines in a show that is fabulously filthy and dangerously funny.
Comedy Showdown Description:
The very popular local stand-up competition “Comedy Showdown” hosted at Parkers Comedy & Jive, is Nando’s Jozi Comedy Festival’s annual search for SA’s new stand-up talent. With several “comedy heats” and a final show on the 28th of July, the winner will get the chance to perform alongside the international comedy heavy weights at the final performance of the “UN Comedy Show” on 1 August at the Teatro Montecasino.
Last up is the Nando’s Cape Town Comedy Festival that will run from the 30th of August until the 19th of September at the Baxter and will once again feature Main Arena & Danger Zone and the line-up will be announced in the press at the end of July.
“We at Nando’s love nothing better than having a laugh, whether it’s at our country’s colourful politicians, our errant sports stars, our foolish foreign visitors, or even ourselves. So it was an obvious decision to bring the Comedy Festivals back to South Africa and we can’t wait to see some of the best and funniest comedians on the international and local comedy circuit”, says Carla Davis, National Brand Manager of Nando’s.
The Nando’s Comedy Festivals will once again be the highlight on the Comedy Calendar with the widest variety of comedy available.
Don’t miss the chance to see all the acts and different shows at The Nando’s Comedy Festivals.
