Dr. Fish Spa offer an exciting natural skin treatment, which is known as the Dr. Fish Spa Therapy. This ancient technique originated in the previous century in the hot water springs of Turkey .It is completely safe and painless.

Therapy sessions are conducted in the privacy of a Dr. Fish Spa treatment area. For pedicure and manicure treatments, clients first cleanse their hands or feet in warm salt water in order to get rid of any perfume or traces of chemical skin products, which could be harmful to the Dr. Fish.
Clients then gently place hands or feet into the tanks, firstly to protect the Dr. Fish from being harmed or scared off by loud splashes, and secondly to get used to the hot water and ticklish feeling that you get when the fish start nibbling. The water is nice and warm- approx 32 degrees celcius.
The fish are tiny, tame and delicate and are members of the Carp family. They thrive in warm water and have become famous the world over, as “pedicurists” “manicurists” and “biotherapists”. Although unconventional and unusual, this treatment is extremely rejuvenating, relaxing and a lot of fun!!

One experiences a pleasant tingling sensation when dozens of tiny and tame spa fish gently nibble and suck loose skin flakes. These fish are completely harmless as they have no teeth and only utilise their lips to rid the body of dead skin. Positive results are already noticeable after just 15 minutes.
