A short 30 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of city life in Johannesburg or Pretoria takes one to the tranquil countryside in which the exquisite Chicama Country Spa at Glenburn Lodge is located, right in the heart of the Cradle of Humankind.

An inviting open-plan reception and lounge area is built on split levels and decorated in ruby red and soothing colours to complement a vineyard décor theme. Taking the theme a step further, Chicama Country Spa uses Theravine products and is in partnership with Zorgvliet Wines.

The five star Spa facilities include a total of ten treatment rooms of which two have private hydrotherapy baths, three have private gardens and the couples’ treatment room has a private Jacuzzi. Relaxing in the steam room or Rasul prior to your treatment comes highly recommended as it relaxes the body, stills the mind and makes one more receptive for the treatment to follow.

Decorated in soothing neutrals, with deep burgundy brought out in Persian rugs and subtle décor touches, the seated lounge area is perfect for relaxing after treatments. The split-level lounge accommodates guest for buffet lunches at elegant dark wood tables but can also be booked for exclusive conferencing or teambuilding. A selection of some of the finest Zorgvliet wines can be enjoyed during lunch or while relaxing outside while taking in the spectacular scenery.

A beautiful heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi and cascading waterfall is located in the corner of the lounge and has a scenic view over the surrounding hills.
A range of pampering and wellness treatments are available from our qualified therapists. Our Spa menu includes day and overnight packages, pampering treatments for bridal and special occasions, exclusive conferencing packages, hen parties, romantic getaways and cheese and wine evenings. Gift vouchers are available for those special occasions, as a staff incentive or corporate gift.

TheraVINE™ products, derived from the vines of the Cape, are used in the Spa. Known for its powerful anti-oxidants (50 times the strength of Vitamin E and 20 times that of Vitamin C) it is known to successfully combat ageing as well as act as an anti-dote to stress & pollutants. Distinctive to TheraVINE™ is the infusion of essential oils of aroma-therapeutic, organic and healing indigenous Cape botanicals which refresh, sooth and rejuvenate.
